Knee Conditions – Knee Surgery

Lots of conditions can cause knee problems that lead to pain or instability. Talk to Alex Dodds, specialist knee doctor, about yours.

Specialist Knee Surgeon

Not every knee condition requires surgery. Even for those that do, surgery should never be the first option. If you are suffering from knee pain, Alex will work with you to identify what is causing your knee problems and determine the best possible course of treatment for you. Then, he’ll help you understand whether surgery could be beneficial.

Who do you treat?

Alex’s patients come from across Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds. Although he can help anyone suffering from knee pain or instability at his Cheltenham knee clinic, typically patients come from one of two groups:

  • Those who have suffered a sports injury— including high impact injuries which can lead to damage to structures such as the anterior cruciate ligament or meniscus when playing football, rugby, netball or skiing; or
  • Those with osteoarthritis (wear and tear of the knee joint).
